summative paper

Summative Paper
During this course we learn so many things that 21st century educators or educators who knows all about technology. Technology today is used daily, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Educators are people who keep up to date on daily activities that might be easier to educate others. Blogs, Wikis and Podcasts are used in classes to get students to communicate with each other about subject that have more a say then learning from only one classroom full of students, but learning from other schools around the world
During our EDMS (Educational Media Studies), we got to learn about what is in the internet. How it changed when it first started to now, how schools use the internet to learn, what people when reporting a story.
Read and write web
Tim Berners-lee created the internet in 1989, what he wanted to do was just to get people from world-wides ideas and thoughts. In 1993, Berners-lee came up with a creation that you can do multiple things, like getting music or searching the web. Seemingly overnight, the internet changed from text and numbers, to colourful graphics that changed massive information that volunteers write about. At the beginning, blogs have been the most influential walks of life, Build resource sites such as News, files and code pages.
The New World Wide Web: Society of Authorship
Schools and the new world wide web: Writing a blog is like sending a e-mail, Blogs are the first widely used tool in the technology of computers, this gives people information on what people are saying on the net. Many schools are using weblogs as homework pages, homework pages can be successful because the not only teachers are using them, but parents to let their child succeed academically.
Read and write web in Education:
Technology is changing very quickly in modern day era, because of this quick change most teachers are challenged of the 21st century technology. Students in high school are beginning to learning and communicate in a different way. When this book was created thousands of teachers and students using some web-tools, but some other educators still use the traditional way of context.


Society of Authorship: Social Networks influences
What is Society of Authorship? Society of Authorship is what educators, learners and people, share ideas and experiences in a wider knowledge and this knowledge is being edited on the internet, weblogs, wikis and twitter are examples for news that happen during a event and within minutes these events are being edited daily. Which means this the weblogs are updated daily
Twitter
Twitter is owned and operated by Twitter Incorporated which gives a social networking and micro-blogging, and gives users send and receive messages called tweets. Tweets text-based posts of up to 140 characters by a user, Twitter can help suggest sites to find information. Twitter launched in Mid July of 2006
Flickr
What I like about flickr, is that you can post pictures and Geo-tag these pictures (like Geography but with pictures on where they are tagging). Created by Ludicorp and then was given to Yahoo, Flickr can do a image hosting, which gives authors, individual types of codes to allow others view this page and this can also embed in blogs and social media, there are over 5 million users putting images as of September 2010.
Youtube
Youtube is a video-sharing website, which users can upload, share and view videos. Youtube was created in February 2005, although media corporations including CBS, BBC, VEVO and other organizations offer some of their material via the site, as part of the YouTube partnership program.[4]
My experiences with youtube, I never knew how to tie-a-tie, so during my dress up day at Nunavut Sivuniksavut, I turned to youtube to get help.
Weblogs: Pedagogy and Practice
What is a weblog? Weblogs are easily, updateable website that allows the author to publish articles online.
Education Weblogs
I can bet you there are there thousands of educational weblogs that are available online, many are reflections and conversations. Many are updated everyday, if not; 3-4 times a day.


Dean Shareski
Dean Shareski is an educational blogger, and shares is ideas and thoughts that are in his blogs, he also recommended a lot of educational site that he shares. Dean has posts for the last couple months and among the things he writes are lessons of education. Many readers, who visits his site leave readers and comments who share the same experiences as he have. Dean Shareski blogs is also a website for graphics, photos and audio files; his blogs can have almost have any old website can have, that’s really impressive of technology today.
Weblogs in Schools
Blogs in schools can be best as a learning tools as students can give great critical and analytical thinking, being a powerful on creative and intuitive thinking and come the best reflection and social interaction. With these weblogs students can file online cabinets such as portfolio, collaborative spaces
Class Portal
Class Portals are digitalized, online curriculum that is a information page for parents and students, just can help a lot to teachers if students wants to succeed in school and if a parent is given the information they can track the students on where there are and if there they are done.
Also class portals can be let teachers put homework assignments, syllabus, class rules, rubrics, handouts, and presentations, this makes this one of the most powerful course web-log material. A lot of school teams have also their own websites for highlights, stories on a athlete and team/school blogs.

Wikipedia
Wikipedia is an Encylopedia of the internet and attempting the sum of human knowledge on this website. Wikipedia was launched in 2001, by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger. This creation made it possible to respond collaboratively and volunteer to give information to others. Since then 16 million entries have been created, and 3.4 million is in English.
Wikis is something that is created by someone, and anyone can edit, delete or put more information. Many educators and librarians turn to wikis for the latest accuracy in classes and information on books subjects and icebreakers to keep the students motivated in school.

RSS Feeds
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, you can get free RSS Feeds news on northern, southern and global. Google is the most famous site for RSS feed. Google can get feeds from Google Reader, blogger.com, Google search, and Google News
Aggregator
Aggregator is a online information station that gives specific types of information such as videos, search news, this software gets information other online sources.
